When Fides’ parent company, Agribio Group in Holland, bought Guatemalan cuttings producer Oro Farms last spring, it instantly place the combined Fides Oro over the billion-cold threshold. Now, Agribio Group is getting even larger.

Agribio Group has bought Bartels Stek and Bartels Roses, the two operating companies of Dutch flower and plant breeder Goos Bartels. The acquisition earnings stronger growth potential for Bartels and an prolonged assortment for Agribio Group.

Bartels retains its brand name, and Goos Bartels will remain as managing director of the holding company that was founded in 1934. The partnership is structured through the acquisition of the shares in Bartels by Agribio Group.
